Artist Franklin Pu
Franklin Pu was born in Shanghai, China in 1960. He is one of the most popular artist in America. He graduated from the college of fine arts of Shanghai Donghua University, and studied Japanese painting both with a famous Japanese artist, Mr. Yukio Hirayama and the college of arts of Kyushu Industry University in Japan . He is a member of The Association of Japan’s Artist, also he is a special member of the SOGEN Society of Japan and a director of The Association of Arts and Culture of Western Japan. Mr. Pu is also an instructor at the college of fine arts of Shanghai Donghua University. In 2004, he created the Art Beyond Infinity Studio in Los Angeles. His exhibition of the “Silk Road Fantasies” was held in L.A. in June, 2005.

Art Beyond Infinity Studio
Since 1988, Franklin has been creating his paintings of “The Silk Road.” He has frequently travelled to various locations along the “Silk Road” to make sketches, and collect the impressions of scenes and subjects for his paintings. The ancient “Silk Road” evolved two thousand years ago. It was the original trade route between ancient Asia, and Western Europe. It was also the road for the exchange of cultural between the east and west. Mr. Pu’s paintings re-create romantic scenes with an empathic reality. The emotions portrayed on the faces of his subjects, could easily be seen on the faces of people in the news and in our daily lives.

Franklin Pu’s paintings from “The Silk Road” have been shown in various exhibitions all over the world, and has received a numerous award. Mr. Kitaro, a famous Japanese New Age musical composer was inspired by Franklin Pu’s paintings of “The Silk Road.” He wrote an original composition called “Pilgrimage of the Silk Road.” Hoping you have a fantastic “Pilgrimage of the Silk Road” with Franklin Pu’s paintings.

Studio of Franklin Pu
The Studio mainly produces Franklin’s own painting and photography. Franklin Pu has more than twenty years of experience of teaching in Japan and China. As for now, more than 40 students are studying under Franklin. Classes are categorize in Adult Art, Beginners for Kids, Sketch, Coloring, and Japanese Animation, etc…
